Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their families are welcome to participate in a day of community service at various locations throughout the Rochester area.
Rochester volunteer site options include:
St. Peter's Kitchen, 9 a.m. to Noon
- 10 spots, appropriate for all ages
- Location: 681 Brown StreetRochester, NY14611
- Volunteers will assist with various projects at the community soup kitchen
Springdale Farms, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- 20 spots, appropriate for all ages
- Location: 700 Colby St, Spencerport, NY 14559
- Service will include outdoor clean up. All volunteers invited to stay for the sheep sheering festival.
Happy Birthday Cha Cha Cha, 10 a.m. to Noon.
- 35 spots, appropriate for all ages
- Location: St. John Fisher University, COP Conference room in the Donald E. Bain Campus Center, 2nd floor
- Volunteers will wrap gifts, assemble gift bags, make cards, and other duties.
Mount Hope Cemetery, 9:30 a.m.- 11:00a.m.
- Unlimited, appropriate for all ages
- Location: 1133 Mt. Hope Ave. Rochester, NY 14620
- Service will include outdoor cleanup and grounds work, and the opportunity to learn about the local and national significance of Mount Hope Cemetery.
Ronald McDonald House, 9 a.m.- 12 p.m.
- Limited spots available
- Service will include meal prepping for families
Center for Youth, 10 a.m.- Noon
- 6 spots available
- Outdoor landscaping and creating their compost bins
Each site has limited availability and volunteers will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be sure to read age restrictions for each site before registering those younger than 18.
